Specialized Facial Treatments for Clients with Cancer

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Paradise Medspa & Wellness is excited to offer specialized treatments to patients suffering with cancer. Our lead aesthetician, Meredith Morgan, has received extensive training in dealing with the complex nature of skin conditions as they pertain to those currently battling the disease.

With the increasing rates of cancer diagnosis, Meredith believes it is crucial to stay updated and knowledgable of the evolving epidemic, and understand specific contraindications relating to cancer therapies. Most cancer therapies cause the skin to react negatively and many patients may not know how to handle these changes or where to turn for help.

Meredith’s training included education on providing the proper treatments associated with skin issues resulting from chemotherapy and radiation, as well as how to choose the appropriate products for use on such delicate skin. She is comfortable giving facials to cancer patients at any stage of their treatment so long as they received approval from their oncologist. Meredith is able to handle the delicate issues that keep cancer patients from seeking these types of services, such as the use of wigs and venous skin ports.

Let us provide a caring touch as a form of relief for you or someone you love today.

Feel better, the natural way

Monday, July 6th, 2009

By Dr. Kristine Sarna

Paradise Medspa will now be offering a new procedure for musculoskeletal pain, migraine, and irritable bowel to complement my acupuncture services called Biopuncture. Biopuncture is the injection of homeopathic remedies into the painful areas to encourage the natural healing process.

Low doses of natural products, such as plants, are injected into the pain location, stimulating your immune system. The products used in the injections rouse the healing process within your own body, rather than from the products themselves. The goal of Biopuncture is not to suppress pain, but to stimulate natural healing in injured areas. Chronic cases may take more time to heal but acute cases see effects almost immediately.

The injections themselves are not nearly as painful as many other injections you may be used to. They can be compared to minor pinpricks since the needle used is very thin and the products are administered in low doses. The actual injection is usually administered just under the skin. You will probably receive several injections in a specific area during each session. The number of sessions you need will vary with the complication of your case. The longer you have had the pain, the more sessions you may need. The results of Biopuncture are longer lasting than pills since they cause your pain to actually heal rather than just treat the symptoms.

Biopuncture is a great method to not only treating pain, but actually healing it with natural remedies. If you have musculoskeletal pain, migraines, and/or irritable bowel, give Paradise Medspa a call for more information about how we can treat you with Biopuncture!
